Terms of Service

Welcome to SVG Blaze. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and the operator of SVG Blaze (the "Site", "we", "us") and govern your use of the Site and every tool it offers (the "Service").

By opening the Site or using any part of the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service Is

SVG Blaze is a free, browser-based toolkit for working with SVG images. It lets you:

  • convert an SVG file, or SVG code you paste, into PNG, JPG, or ICO
  • choose an output size, and a transparent or white background
  • generate an SVG icon with AI from a plain-language description

The Service is offered free of charge. It does not require an account, and it does not add a watermark to your output.

How the conversion tools work. The converters run entirely in your own browser using the canvas API. Your files and code are never uploaded to us for conversion. See the Privacy Policy for the details.

How the AI generator works. The AI generator is different: the description you type, together with the options you select, is sent to our server and then to a third-party AI model provider so that an SVG can be produced. Each generation is stored by us as a record of the request. Do not type anything into the AI generator that you are not comfortable sending to a third party.

Which AI models power the generator. The generator is driven by third-party large language models — mainstream, widely used models accessed through their providers' APIs. The models we use include Qwen (Alibaba's Tongyi Qianwen family) and DeepSeek. We do not train our own models, and we do not use your prompts to train anyone else's. The model that produced a given generation is recorded along with it. We may add, replace, or retire models as the Service evolves, and we keep this section up to date with the models then in use.

Public and private generations. You choose whether each generation is public or private, and the setting is public by default. Public generations may be shown in the gallery on the Site, where anyone can view and download them; see section 5 for the licence that grants us. Private generations are not shown to other users. See the Privacy Policy for what is stored and for how to have a generation removed.

No guarantee of results. The AI generator can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or unusable output, including output that does not match your description. You are responsible for reviewing anything you generate before you use it.

2. Fees and Refunds

The Service is free. Every tool on the Site — the converters and the AI generator alike — is provided free of charge. There is no subscription, nothing to buy, no credits to top up, and no account or payment method required. We do not take payment for the Service, so there is nothing to bill, cancel, or refund.

Refunds do not apply. Because the Service is free of charge, no refund policy applies to it: there is no purchase price, no billing cycle, and no payment on file, and no refund is due or payable. The same is true of any free usage allowance we grant, such as the daily generation limit — it is a courtesy limit, not a purchased good, and it carries no monetary value.

If we introduce paid features. If we ever offer a paid plan or paid credits, we will update these Terms before those features go live, and the following will apply to anything you pay us for:

  • Virtual products, sold as final. Paid features, credits, and AI generations are virtual, digital products. They are delivered to you immediately and are consumed at the moment they are produced, so they cannot be returned, resold, or handed back. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all sales are final and non-refundable once the order is confirmed or the generation has been produced, whichever happens first.
  • No refunds for change of mind or unused balance. This includes dissatisfaction with an AI-generated result (see "No guarantee of results" in section 1) and any credits you did not use before they expired.
  • Failed generations are the exception. If a payment of yours cannot be delivered against — for example, you were charged but no output was produced because of an error on our side — email us at [email protected] and we will re-run the generation or refund that charge.
  • Rights you have by law are unaffected. Where the law that applies to you gives you a right to a refund, or a cooling-off or withdrawal period, that cannot be excluded or waived — as consumer law does in the European Union and the United Kingdom — this section does not take that right away. If you believe you are entitled to one, email us and we will handle it as the law requires.

3. Prohibited Content and Content Standards

This section sets the content standards for the Service (the "Content Standards"). They apply to everything you submit to or produce with it — the descriptions you type into the AI generator, the SVG and image output you generate, and anything you publish to the public gallery — and they apply in addition to section 4.

You must not use the Service to create, request, upload, store, publish, or distribute any of the following:

  • Sexual and NSFW content. Pornography, explicit or suggestive sexual imagery, sexualised depictions of any kind, and fetish or adult content.
  • Violence and gore. Graphic violence, gore, mutilation, torture, or cruelty, and content that glorifies, encourages, or gives instructions for seriously harming people or animals.
  • Hate and harassment. Content that attacks, dehumanises, or promotes hatred against a person or group because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation; and content that threatens, stalks, or harasses an individual.
  • Child-unsafe content, including CSAM. Anything that sexualises, endangers, or exploits a minor, and in particular child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This is never permitted — there is no exception for artistic, fictional, or cartoon depictions. We report apparent CSAM to the relevant authorities and cooperate with law enforcement.
  • Deepfakes and impersonation. Content that impersonates a real person or organisation, or that is designed to make people believe a real person said or did something they did not. Do not generate logos, emblems, seals, signatures, or other official-looking marks for a brand, agency, or person you do not represent, and do not present generated output as a genuine statement, product, or endorsement.
  • Copyright and trademark infringement. Material that copies or is substantially similar to protected work — characters, logos, brand mascots, artwork, photographs, or other copyrighted material, or registered trademarks — unless you hold the rights or have permission. That includes asking the model to imitate a specific protected character, brand, or living artist's style.

We may also refuse or remove anything that is unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, spam, malicious, or that would expose us or someone else to legal risk.

How we review content. Requests are screened before they are answered. An automated AI review checks what you submit — and, where relevant, what comes back — against the categories above, and requests or outputs that trip it are refused or withheld. Automated screening is not perfect, so it is backed by human review: a moderator can inspect generations, including ones the filter flagged or that another user reported, and can act on them. Generations published to the public gallery are also subject to review and may be taken down at any time.

What happens if you break these rules. Depending on how serious the breach is, we may, without notice and in any order: refuse or discard the generation; mark it as blocked so it is no longer shown to anyone; delete it; suspend or terminate your access; and, where the law requires it or the conduct warrants it, report it to the relevant authorities. Breaches involving CSAM or credible threats of violence may be reported immediately and without prior notice to you.

How to report content. If you see a generation or gallery entry that breaks these Content Standards, email [email protected] with its URL, or a description of the prompt if you do not have the URL. We review every report and remove content that breaches these standards. If you believe your own content was removed by mistake, email us and we will take another look.

4. Your Use of the Service

You may use the Service for personal and commercial projects, free of charge, provided you follow these Terms — in particular the Content Standards in section 3.

You agree not to:

  • use the Service to create, process, or distribute material that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or harmful
  • upload or paste content you do not have the right to use
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its servers, or the data of any other person
  • probe, scan, or overload the Service, including by automated bulk requests, scraping, or denial-of-service attempts
  • interfere with, or bypass, any usage limit or security feature — including the content review described in section 3
  • resell the Service, or present it as your own product, without our written permission
  • use the Service in any way that violates applicable law

We may suspend or block access to the Service, at any time and without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or that your use creates a risk or legal exposure for us or for others.

5. Your Content and Your Output

Your input stays yours. You keep all rights you already hold in the SVG files, SVG code, and descriptions you use with the Service. We claim no ownership over them.

Your output is yours to use. Subject to the paragraph below, we do not claim ownership of the PNG, JPG, ICO, or SVG generated for you, and you may use it for any lawful purpose, including commercially.

Third-party terms may still apply. AI-generated output is produced by a third-party model provider. That provider's terms may also govern the output it generates, and AI output may in some cases resemble existing protected material. You are responsible for checking that your use of any output is lawful and does not infringe the rights of anyone else. We make no warranty that AI-generated output is original or free of third-party rights.

Your responsibility. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and for how you use the results, including any consequences of publishing or distributing them.

Public generations. The AI generator lets you choose whether each generation is public or private, and the setting is public by default. If you leave a generation public, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that generation — the description you typed and the resulting SVG — on the Site and to let other visitors view, download, and reuse it. This licence lasts for as long as the generation is shown on the Site. You can only make a generation public if you have the right to do so, and you must not publish content you do not own or that infringes anyone else's rights. We may remove any generation from the gallery at any time, for any reason, without notice — including where it breaches section 3. Private generations are not shown to other users; see the Privacy Policy for how both kinds are stored.

6. Our Intellectual Property

The Site itself — its name, branding, design, text, layout, and source code — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by applicable law. These Terms give you no right to use our branding or to copy the Site other than as needed to use the Service normally. Downloading an output file does not transfer any rights in the Site.

7. Availability and Changes to the Service

The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time, including the AI generator, the models that power it, and the set of supported formats or sizes. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, that any specific feature or model will remain available, or that we will keep any particular output size or format.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or secure, that conversions will be pixel-perfect or suited to a particular use (for example print, trademark registration, or app-store submission), or that generated SVG code will be valid, safe, or free of errors.

You use the Service at your own risk, and you are responsible for keeping your own backups of any original artwork or code.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) ten US dollars.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms — including any claim that content you generated, submitted, or published breaches section 3.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access — including any optional account — if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 13) will continue to apply.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when we add or change a feature. The revised version takes effect when it is published on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Your continued use of the Service after that means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the Service.

13. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision on one occasion, that is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign ours, for example in connection with a merger or sale of assets.
  • Mandatory law. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
